Although traditionally made with a black and white combo, Til ke Laddu can also be made with either color. However, during Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra, Til ke laddu is a famous dessert made with white sesame seeds and served as a prasad.

About Recipe :

We boiled the jaggery syrup in this Til ke Laddu recipe until it resembles a soft ball. As a result, the laddu has a chewy and soft texture.

In this Til ke Laddu recipe, the sweet syrup was made using jaggery. In general, jaggery’s sweetness is superior to sugar’s from a health standpoint. Because of the molasses content, it has more nutrients than refined crystal sugar.

So let us share with you Til ke Laddu Recipe.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 200 grams Sesame/Til
  • 200-gram Jaggery
  • Ghee
  • 6-8 Cashew Nuts
  • 6-8 Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Peanuts
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder


Steps for Til ke Laddu Recipe

First of all, you have to roast 200 grams of sesame/ til in a pan. You have to roast til/ sesame till it turns slightly brown while stirring continuously. Keep the gas flame medium while roasting.

If you do not stir Sesame continuously, it will burn. sesame/ til will take about 3 to 4 minutes to roast.

Now put 1/2 tbsp ghee in the pan and heat it. Then put cashew nuts, almonds, and peanuts in it and roast them. You have to roast it till it becomes slightly golden.

When you make Til ke Laddu, always add dry fruits after roasting them. The flavor of Til ke Laddu enhances as a result.

Allow the dry fruits to cool after roasting, then crush them gently.

Because we had taken 200 grams of Sesame/Til to make Til ke Laddu, then we had to take 200 grams of jaggery as well.



It is measured by this. You have to take as much jaggery as Sesame/Til you have taken.

Now put one tbsp ghee in the pan and heat it. Then put 200 grams of jaggery in it.

Melt the jaggery while stirring continuously on medium flame. You have to melt the jaggery completely.

When the jaggery melts properly, then switch off the gas. Then add Sesame/Til, crushed dry fruits, and 1 tsp Cardamom powder and mix it properly.

Shape the til laddu from the mixture while it is still hot. If it is excessively hot, wait a moment before forming the laddu. To form the laddu, spread some oil across your palms.

Do this for all of the Til Laddu. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.

Til ke Laddu can be eaten as a sweet snack or served during the Makar Sankranti holiday. Make a large batch that may be kept for a few weeks in a sealed jar by simply doubling or tripling the recipe.

Tips & Tricks :

  • Cardamom powder: This ingredient has a pleasant aroma. Do not include it if you do not have one.
  • If the Til Laddu won’t stick together, the jaggery syrup needs to be boiled longer and has not reached the soft ball stage. Put the entire mixture in the pan and heat it gently. Cook for a few minutes till the soft ball stage is reached.
