  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 2 dry red chilies
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin-coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Sev

Steps of Tuver Totha Recipe

Start by adding 1 cup fresh green Tuver (pigeon peas), a pinch of baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 cup water into a pressure cooker.

Close the cooker with the lid and make 2 whistles on a medium flame.

After that, wait till pressure is released and keep boiled Tuver aside.

Now heat 2 to 3 tbsp oil on a medium flame. add 1/2 tsp carom seeds, 2 dry red chilies, and 1 bay leaf.

Then add 1 chopped onion to the pan and cook until it becomes a little brown.

Add 1 tbsp ginger-chili-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
