Ingredients for Shahi Paneer :

For Gravy/Puree

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2-3 Black Pepper seeds
  • 7-8 Clove
  • 2 Green Cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 5-7 Garlic
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped Green Chili
  • 3-4 chopped tomatoes
  • Cashew Nuts
  • Salt to taste

For Shahi Paneer

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp dried Fenugreek leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 200-250 gram Paneer/Cottage cheese
  • Fresh Cream/ Malai
  • Coriander leaves for Garnishing


How To Make Shahi Paneer?

First of all, put some oil or ghee in a pan and heat it.

Then put paneer cubes in it and fry them until golden brown. Keep it aside.

For making Puree/Gravy

Heat the 1 tsp oil in a pan on medium flame. Once hot, add 1 small stick of cinnamon, 1 bay leaf, 2-3 black pepper seeds, 7-8 cloves, 2 green cardamom, and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, and let them splutter.

Then put 5-7 garlic, 2 chopped onions, and 2 chopped green chilies. Mix well and saute them.

After that, add 2 chopped green chili, 3-4 chopped tomatoes, Cashew Nuts, and salt according to taste. Mix it properly.

Cook them on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes by covering them until they turn mushy.
