INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 Medium size Mango
  • 2 Cup/500 ml Milk
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 3.5 Cup/250g Desiccated Coconut
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • Silver Vark

How to make Mango Barfi?

Select ripe mangoes that are soft to the touch and have a sweet fragrance. Then wash the mangoes thoroughly under running water.

After that, peel the mangoes and take out the pulp with the help of a knife.

Then put the mango pulp in a mixer jar and grind it. Keep it aside.

Now put 2 cups/500 ml of milk and 1 cup of sugar in the pan and boil it on a medium flame. It requires continuous stirring.

When the milk starts boiling, then you have to add 3.5 cups/250g of Desiccated Coconut in it and mix it properly.

Cook and keep stirring till it becomes thick.

When it becomes thick properly, then put the Mango pulp we had ground in it and mix it well.

Then put 1 Tbsp ghee in it and mix it. Cook it till it becomes dry.

Now grease a tray with ghee and pour the mixture onto the tray and spread it evenly using a spatula.

A complete cooling of the mixture at room temperature is required. Keep it set for 3 to 4 hours.

You can apply Silver Vark on top of the burfi. (Optional)
