Ingredients :
- 2 grated raw Potatoes
- 1/2 cup Semolina (Rava)
- 1/2 cup Besan (Gram flour)
- 1 finely chopped Onion
- 1 finely chopped Tomato
- 1 tbsp green Peas
- 1 tbsp grated Carrot
- 1 tbsp red Capsicum
- 1 tbsp green Capsicum
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp roasted Cumin powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger, Garlic & Chili paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Lemon extract as per taste
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
Steps for crispy veg triangles :
First of all, in a bowl, put 2 grated raw potatoes, 1/2 cup of semolina, 1/2 cup of gram flour, and water according to the requirements and mix it well.
Then cover the bowl with a lid and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
This will ensure that the water will be absorbed by the semolina. Open it after 15 minutes. You can see that the batter is looking good.
Now add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 finely chopped tomato, 1 tbsp green peas, 1 tbsp grated carrot, 1 tbsp red capsicum, 1 tbsp green capsicum, 2 tbsp finely chopped green coriander, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tbsp ginger, garlic & chili paste, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, lemon extract as per taste and salt to taste in it. Mix it properly.
Lastly, add 1/4 tsp baking soda to it and mix well in one direction. Now our batter is ready.
Now take a baking tray and grease the oil on its inner side, then pour the batter into the tray.
After that, take the steamer and pour water into it. Then put the baking tray in it. We will put the steamer on the gas.
In about 15 minutes, our batter will be steamed.
Insert a knife or toothpick into the batter to check it. Your batter is done if the knife or toothpick comes out clean.
After steaming, we will take it out with the help of a knife and cut it in the shape of a triangle.
Now it’s time to start shallow frying it in a flat pan.
Put oil in a pan and keep on gas at high flame. When the oil is hot, then put the triangles to fry.
Fry these triangles in hot oil until crispy and golden brown. Fry all the remaining pieces in this manner.
The crispy veg triangles are ready. You can eat it with tea or tomato catch-up or green chutney.
