INGREDIENTS :

  • 1/2 cup semolina (suji)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • 2 tbsp saffron milk
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cup water
  • Some cardamom powder
  • Dry fruits


How to make Suji ka Halwa?

For Suji ka Halwa, we will roast dry fruits and keep them.

For this, put some ghee in the pan and heat it on medium flame. Then roast coconut slices, almonds, and cashew nuts in it.

After it is roasted, take it out on a plate and keep it aside.

Firstly, You have to soak 1/2 cup Semolina/Suji in 3/4 cup milk.

You have to mix semolina and milk properly. There should not be any lump in it. Then keep it aside.

After that, put 1 cup of sugar and 3 cups of water in a pan. Cook it till the sugar gets melted. You do not have to make sugar syrup. Boil the water as much as the sugar melts.

Then heat the 1/2 cup of ghee in a large pan over a medium flame. Add the semolina and stir continuously until it turns a light golden brown. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

Then add 2 Tbsp of gram Flour and roast it well on a slow flame. Stir well to combine. It will take some time to cook.

Reduce the heat to low and continue to stir the mixture until it becomes thick and creamy. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
