About Poha Recipe :
You must be making poha many times at home. And sometimes children refuse to eat poha after eating only one type of poha. That’s why we should keep making slight changes to the recipe from time to time. Keeping this in mind, we have come up with a different type of poha recipe for you.
INGREDIENTS :
For Poha :
- 2 bowls/200 grams Flattened Rice/Poha
- Salt as per taste
- 1 spoon Sugar
- Some Peanuts
- Oil
- 1 pinch of Asafoetida/Hing powder
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Turmeric powder
- 1/4 bowl Water
For Serving :
- Poha
- Finely chopped green Chili
- Lemon juice as per taste
- Some Poha masala
- Some Namkeen/Sev
- Peanut roasted
- Finely chopped Onion
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Steps for Poha Recipe :
First of all, we have to take 2 bowls/200 grams of flattened rice/Poha. Before making Poha, we have to clean the flattered rice. Bad and black-stained flattened rice has to be removed from it.
Now we will wash the Poha with water. We have to clean the poha properly by hand. We will clean the poha with water 3 to 4 times. After that, 3 to 4 spoons of water will be left in the poha and the second water will be removed.
Now we will mix it well by adding salt as per taste and 1 spoonful of sugar. Will keep it aside for a while.
We are going to use peanuts in the poha. For this, we will roast the peanuts by putting some oil in a frying pan for the poha.
Now we will put 1 spoon of oil in a wok and keep it on gas on medium flame. After the oil becomes hot, add 1 pinch asafoetida/hing powder, 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, and 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and mix it and let it cook. Now we will mix by adding turmeric powder and 1/4 bowl water after flame.
Finally, we will add Poha and mix it well and let it cook.
So our instant Poha is ready.
Garnishing of Poha :
Now we will finely chop the onion, chili, and coriander for garnish Poha. To make the garnishing of Poha tastier, we will take Lemon Juice, Poha Masala, Namkeen/Sev, and Peanut Roasted.
You can put all these garnishing things according to your taste. The way you want to eat.
Tips & Tricks :
Take special care while making Poha. You have to keep the gas low or medium flame only. Never on high flame otherwise Poha will get burnt.
We use raw onion and chili here. If you want, you can also cook it.
You can also use potatoes or tomatoes if you want. For this, you have to cut potatoes into thin pieces and cook them.
You can also use pomegranate seeds, tutti-frutti, or any other thing for garnishing the Poha.

Directions :

- So our instant Poha is ready.
