INGREDIENTS

Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame. Add singhara flour to the pan and roast it in ghee until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Stir constantly.

In another pan, add sugar and water to make syrup. Bring it to a boil and simmer until the sugar dissolves completely, forming a thin syrup.

Gradually pour the sugar syrup into the roasted singhare flour, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming.

Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

Add cardamom powder to the mixture and stir well to incorporate. Once the halwa reaches a thick, pudding-like consistency, remove it from the heat.
