250 grams lotus stem (peeled and sliced) 2 tbsp oil or ghee 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 chopped onion 2 chopped tomatoes 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder 1/2 tsp garam masala Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Wash and peel the lotus stem. Slice into thin pieces and soak in water for 15-20 mins.

In a pan, heat oil or ghee over medium flame. Add cumin seeds to hot oil. Allow them to crackle.
